The perforated rotary drum rotating at 50 rpm receives the dough strips. Hot air is circulating inside the drum to provide heat to dry the strips while tumbling inside the 6 meter long drum.  Temperature inside the drum is about 70 to 80 deg. C which is provided by steam coil. Temperature is regulated manually and monitored by a dial type temperature gauge.

 The drum has flights and the length of stay for the dough strips inside the rotating drum can be regulated. After 15 to 20 minutes, the pellets (now already separated) is discharged at the end of drum then conveyed to the pellet sifter via a connecting conveyor.
